Your Colonial
Williamsburg Bed and
Breakfast Hosts:
Micki & Jeff
Jacobsen
A few years ago,
Micki left the
corporate world
where she was a
nationally certified
expert in management
training who had
become weary of
constant business
trips and extended
stays at impersonal
hotels. Her love of
gardening, flair for
home decoration, and
delight in welcoming
people into the home
led us to open the
Mulberry Garden
Manor. She can now
talk to visitors
from around the
world about the
happenings in the
Williamsburg area as
well as her other
loves of gardening,
quilting (and other
needlework),
resident Bedlington
terrier and Afghan
Hound, Lamb Chop and
Porter, and resident
British short hair
cat, Baby Blue.
None of our pets are
allowed in the
upstairs guest rooms
although we have had
pet loving guests
(at their
discretion) who have
welcomed Blue in for
an afternoon nap.
Blue generally
spends his days in
the common areas of
the Mulberry Garden
Manor – the chair in
the living room
corner and the
upstairs hallway
being one of his favorite
haunts. Chops and
Porter occasionally
slip past the
kitchen door into
the dining room and
living room, but
are, for the most
part, restricted to
the owner’s quarters
and the back yard.
Both are
enthusiastic
greeters and love
our guests! Feel
free to get your
“I’m missing my own
pets” pats and
scratches out of
your system with our
loving animals.
Jeff, with Grammy
nomination and
doctorate in hand,
comes to this
Williamsburg
Bed and
Breakfast
through the kitchen
where his love of
cooking and
entertaining suits
the business well. A
professional
orchestra conductor
and bassist, he has
taken this
opportunity to slow
down a little – at
least around the
Mulberry Garden
Manor. Around
Williamsburg and the
surrounding area you
will have a hard
time slowing down
this avid bicyclist
who typically logs
more than 5,000 miles
a year. You are
welcome to join him
on his
bike rides around
Williamsburg –
winter,
spring, summer
or fall. It doesn't
matter what the
season or weather.
Jeff enjoys reading,
playing chess, and
doing the NY Times
Crossword.
We will work hard to
make your stay at
our home - and
Colonial
Williamsburg Bed and
Breakfast - as
comfortable as
possible.
